INTERNAL COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE (AY 2025-26)

Preamble of the Internal Complaints Committee

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is established to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment within our institution. Recognizing the right of every individual to work and study in an atmosphere free from harassment and discrimination, the ICC is committed to addressing grievances related to sexual harassment and any form of misconduct.

The committee aims to create awareness about the issues of harassment and to provide a platform for individuals to voice their concerns without fear of retaliation. Through transparent procedures and fair investigations, the ICC will ensure that complaints are handled promptly and sensitively.

We believe that fostering a culture of respect, dignity, and equality is paramount to the well-being of our community. The ICC is dedicated to implementing preventive measures, conducting educational programs, and promoting a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harassment. By encouraging open dialogue and supporting affected individuals, we strive to maintain a safe and supportive environment for all.

Roles, Responsibilities and Statutes

Dr. HNNCE is a coeducational institution providing equal opportunities to all and is working towards providing in a congenial atmosphere for men and women work together. Dr. HNNCE has formed an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), as mandated by the regulatory authorities and POSH act, to address and initiate appropriate action the complaints involving physical contacts or advances, demand for sexual favours, sexually tainted remarks, and any unwelcome physical, verbal or nonverbal expressions of a sexual nature. Any aggrieved persona (employee or visitor or student) who has suffered harassment at workplace can approach ICC. This committee aims at sensitizing the students and staff to work diligently to prevent sexual harassment in the college and work towards the redressal of sexual harassment cases. The functions of ICC shall be to:

  1. prevent sexual harassment at workplace;
  2. prevent discrimination and sexual harassment against girls by promoting gender amity among students and employees;
  3. conduct periodical programmes on women empowerment;
  4. provide conducive environment and congenial atmosphere for women

 

Dr.  HNNCE has constituted the committee with prescribed composition as per norms.
