The MCA program at Dr. HN National College of Engineering (Dr.HNNCE) is designed to transform aspiring technologists into software architects, AI specialists, data engineers, and digital innovators. This two-year full-time (Four Semesters) program blends foundational computer science with advanced application development, equipping students to thrive in today’s digital-first world.
The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a two-year postgraduate program spread across four semesters. The MCA program at Dr. H N National College of Engineering (Dr.HNNCE), Bangalore was launched in the year 2024 with an annual intake of 120 students. It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi and recognised by AICTE, Delhi. This program is designed to transform graduates from diverse disciplines into highly competent IT professionals.
The Department is equipped with the state-of-the art coding laboratories and smart classrooms which provide an appropriate environment for hands-on learning and innovation.
The department has well-qualified and experienced faculty members who bring in-depth academic knowledge and rich industry exposure, adopting a strong mentorship culture.
Curriculum Overview:
Our faculty also have rich experience in Research & Innovations and encourage the students to inculcate the same. The department believes in continuous learning and therefore conducts technical talks/seminars, workshops, training programs (for both faculty & students), Industry visits and hackathons. Eminent speakers are invited to the campus for Guest lectures. Capstone projects conducted in collaboration with industry partners provide students with valuable real-time experience and practical exposure to real-world challenges.
The department supports the internship & placement through a well-connected network and also through dedicated placement cell of Dr. HNNCE.
The department has got Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with reputed organisations such as IIIT–Kottayam, BITES, Gonagoor Technologies and Q-Spiders to encourage Collaborative learning experience to students.
